Biography

Joshua Ambre (he/him) is a writer from Phoenix, Arizona. His fiction has appeared in Epiphany Magazine, Hypertext Review, The Brooklyn Review, Cleaver Magazine, and elsewhere. Joshua was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the 2024 Sewanee Writers’ Conference and a finalist for the 2025 James Hurst Prize for Fiction. He holds an MFA from UNC Greensboro, where he served as Fiction Editor for The Greensboro Review. He lives in New York City, where he is currently at work on a novel.
